Cheryl and David Smith opened Bluescreek Farm Meats in the North Market, May of 1993, without a clue of
what to expect. Both Cheryl and David were raised on farms and have been
farming their entire lives. But in the more recent years, before ‘93, they
got involved in raising a breed of cattle that was very lean, and very tender
(Belgian Blue).

Many of our customers are like
family to us. |
They decided the meat they had was just too good not to
market it directly to the consumer. They heard about the North Market and
decided it was worth checking out. …. The next thing they knew, they were
selling Beef and Lamb at the North Market. |

Now Bluescreek Farm Meats offers Beef, Lamb, Pork,
Goat, and Veal. As well as a wide variety of Ohio products (Jams and Jellies,
Maple Syrup, BBQ Sauce, and natural seasonings and rubs).
